Conference
Berlin
An evening about Tunisian music and the long distances it has travelled — from the jazz standard back to the source.
01 — What it is about
Night in Tunisia is a format at the intersection of conversation and concert: the title is one of the most famous jazz standards in the world — and a promise to walk back the route this music has taken.
Evenings like this are my favourite format because they can do both: they explain, and they sound. A short conversation, a set, another conversation — and an audience that goes home with more than a lovely concert.
For venues, institutes and embassies I build evenings of exactly this construction.

See it→Festival
The Berlin summer festival at which the city rediscovered its own sounds — outdoors, free of charge, for everyone.
See it→Festival
A festival that does not exhibit the Orient but questions it. The title is the programme — and a contradiction on purpose.
