This website sets no cookies, uses no tracking pixels and does not follow you across websites.

The single exception: if you confirm the privacy notice at the bottom of the page with «OK», that click is stored in your browser's local storage (the entry «cookie-consent» with the value «ok») so that the notice does not reappear on every visit. The entry stays on your device, is not transmitted to the server and contains no identifier that identifies you. You can delete it at any time via your browser's website data.

Legal basis: § 25 paragraph 2 no. 2 TDDDG — the storage is strictly necessary in order to provide the service you requested, namely permanently hiding the notice.

When you visit, your browser transmits technically necessary data to the hosting provider: IP address, date and time, address requested, volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system. This data is required in order to deliver the page and to fend off attacks.

Legal basis: Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and trouble-free operation). The logs are deleted automatically after a short period and are not combined with other data.

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. A data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with the host.

In order to see which pages are read, one counting signal per page view is transmitted to a first-party service: the address requested, the domain, the referring page and, if contained in the address, campaign parameters. No cookies are set, no device identifiers are formed and no profiles are created across individual visits.

If your browser sends the «Do Not Track» signal, no measurement takes place at all. Legal basis: Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR (legitimate interest in a data-minimising evaluation of reach).

Via the form on /en/contact you transmit the details you enter there yourself: the format you want, name, email address, optionally phone number, institution or organisation as well as your message. This data is used exclusively to answer your enquiry.

Legal basis: Article 6 paragraph 1 letter b GDPR (pre-contractual measures) or letter f GDPR (legitimate interest in processing the enquiry).

Transmission runs via a technical service provider that delivers the message and is bound as a processor under Article 28 GDPR. Your enquiry is deleted as soon as it has been dealt with conclusively and no statutory retention periods stand in the way.

You can always call me or write an email directly instead.

The fonts used are delivered with the site and loaded locally. No connection to third-party servers is established and no IP address is transmitted to third parties.

In a few places the site refers to external profiles, for instance WOMEX and IMDb. These links open in a new window; only then does the privacy policy of the respective provider apply. Content from these providers is not embedded in this site.

You have the right to information (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Article 21).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
